Frequently Asked Questions

How safe are your Bouncy Castles?

Very safe! Safety is our priority and should be your first question. Prior to delivery all our castles are cleaned, sanitized and checked for any faults. As a member of the BIHA we follow ALL health and safety guidelines. All our castles have safety certificates and electrical equipment is shower proof and PAT tested. Our driver will ensure our castles are secured down and safety mats will be provided. A safety data sheet will also be left by our driver which we ask all our customers to read.

How do I book?

Booking is the easy bit, call Katie on 07930 552003, you can also text, email, Facebook or fill in the enquiry form on the ‘contact us’ link on the homepage and we’ll be happy to get you booked in anytime.

How much notice do I need to give for a booking?

You can book anytime. Bookings can get very busy at popular holiday times so please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. We also accept bookings at short notice and even on the day we will do our best to help you out.

What size Bouncy castle will I order?

It’s purely up to you. However, you will need to take into account the environment in which the castle is to be used. If in a garden for example, you will need to leave 2 feet either side of the castle and 4 feet at the front and the back for access and safety mats. Any problems with this just give us a call and we’ll run you through it.

Can we use the castle indoors?

Yes indeed, many kids parties take place in halls. The one to watch out for here is the height of the ceilings in your venue. Basically the ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle which can be checked on our castle dimensions, or call for details. We find most halls are suitable for bouncy castles.

When will delivery / collection take place?

Our delivery and collection times are flexible, although typically, delivery of your Castle will take place from as early as 8am. Collection will take place from 5pm onwards, however, we take into consideration that all party times, venue, and hire duration differ, so we try our best to deliver and collect to suit your individual requirements.

How and when do I pay?

We accept payment in cash to the driver on delivery of the castle. If you wish to pay by cheque this must be arranged and cleared prior to the date of your hire. We do not accept credit cards.

How do I put the castle up and will I be able to deflate it?

The driver will do this for you and also give you safety advice and full instructions before departing.  All we ask of you is to ensure that the proposed area for the bouncy castle is clear of all obstacles such as garden furniture, swings, slides, trampolines, toys, sharp objects, rubbish and most importantly any animal faeces should be completely cleared.

What if it rains while it’s up in my garden?

Most of our castles come with shower covers and our electrical connection leads are fully shower proof.  So showers should not stop your fun. In extremely bad weather it is recommended to turn the unit off and if required, contact Kats Castles for immediate advice.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No deposit is required to secure your booking. A booking form and our terms and conditions will be sent to you prior to your event, or at the time of delivery / hire, which you will be required to sign.

A deposit is only required if you are booking a castle over night and for the hire of our Sumo Suits.

 Can I cancel?

We do not charge a fee for cancellation, providing you give us sufficient notice (at least two hours notice prior to delivery).

In extreme cases i.e. bad weather, Kats Castles reserve the right to cancel the booking due to safety.

Do you have Insurance?

Yes all Kat Castles inflatable’s carry £5 million Public Liability Cover. This covers the unit for any mishap which may occur due to the unit being faulty. It DOES NOT cover personal accidents or injuries which may occur due to human error, misuse of the unit or lack of proper supervision. It is the responsibility of the hirer to make sure the unit is properly supervised at all times and that the terms and conditions we give you are properly adhered to.  As per terms and conditions we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused while the castle is in your care. You the hirer are solely responsible for its castle and its use. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How much electricity does the castle use?

Our blowers will only cost between 15p and 20p per hour to run. So for five hours of bouncy fun it will cost you the best part of £1. That’s the best bit!
